Preparations in Full Swing

The bags are (nearly) packed, tent has been tested and repacked, and the rental RV is being picked up this very afternoon. Excitement is running high among the kids and most of the adults. Trepidation seems to be running even higher among a few as well (OK - mostly Michelle). With 11 people spread between a 30' RV and a minivan headed the 5,000 miles to Yellowstone and back, this has the potential to generate many a good story, but also to bring an already close family even closer.

Tomorrow (Saturday Aug. 8th) we will roll out at 6:00 AM to begin our Fortnight Adventure. First stop - Canton, OH and the NFL Hall of Fame. Of course we could not have known when we planned this stop six months ago that we happened to be selecting the very day of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the class of 2009. Who knew? Molly, Michelle, and I will be hanging around for the ceremony whist the others head off to set up and enjoy the campground outside of Cleveland for the first night.

Here's to safe travels, few travails, and no travesties! Feel free to follow along as we tour our great country.

Bryan
